In Words To The Wise, A Practical Guide To The Esoteric Sciences, Manly P. Hall gives a detailed examination of knowledge descending from the ancient mystery schools.

Hall delves into the finer strands of all that is metaphysics, religion and spirituality in a way that’s easy to comprehend for a novice, and yet sophisticated in depth for people that have interested in the subject for quite a while and are searching for more substantial information.

Beginning with the true and false paths to wisdom, Hall picks apart many of the aspects that can be confusing for people given how much information is out there. Keep in mind, the original version of this book was published in 1936, with the updated version revised in 1963.

That being said, the information is still quite pertinent given the unfortunately slow [spiritual] development of most of society at our current moment.

Hall speaks of the importance of learning from the ancient teachers – the upper echelons of ‘an unbroken metaphysical tradition’. Teachers such as, Plato, Aristotle, Hippocrates, Plutarch, Pythagoras, Proclus, and many many more. He even mentions some books which are vital to sift through and learn from that should be part of any student/researcher’s library.

Throughout the length of the book, Manly P. Hall talks about the importance to be able to hone in much of the misinformation/disinformation that is prevalent in this field, and he even gives thorough advice as to how to go about doing that.

Hall analyzes the seven requisites for a person of character, and thence goes into how to go about seeing what type of mystery schools are out there.

Ultimately, Hall goes into the importance for the individual to work on [spiritual] self-mastery above all. This notion is harpooned from countless angles and highly cautioned upon given the fact that the modern world religions, so called ascended masters, and even modern mystery schools, all attempt to tell you what to think, and not how to think. This is why Hall focuses so much on being discerning in this particular abstruse field.

Many great things have been said about this book, and for good reason. It offers valuable information that can save you a lot of precious time that can be used incisively elsewhere.

If you are familiar with Manly P. Hall’s work, then you know the realize the high quality of his information. And if you don’t, you really ought to take a gander at it. It will be well worth your time.

Breakaway Guide To Personal Health

In a previous piece we talked about how much time people waste on average, which assuming a 40 hour work week, with 8 hours of sleep a day, a person that watches TV an average of 5 hours of day uses nigh half of all their free time over the course of their lives watching the matrix machine.

Coupled with that, we’ve also see what can happen when someone begins to finetune their personal money/financial structure in order to be better prepared for the future. There is a lot to be had by being incisive and thinking critically about where the holes in your daily/weekly/monthly expenditures are.

With that said, it’s time to take a gander at the third component of the triumvirate, this being health.

The centerpiece for this post will be the notion brought about by the Book called The 8th Habit. This book mentions that keeping in mind that there are 168 hours in a week, essentially every time a person works out 1.5 hours a week exercising, that improves your happiness and the quality of the other 166.5 hours.

As mentioned in a previous post, the health of the populace within the American landscape is downright dismal. For all its technology and pill popping, America ranks dead last in health as of 2013 according to an article published by The Atlantic. Dead last.

That should be outright preposterous.

According to the report, the US had the highest rate of death by violence, death by car accident, teen pregnancy rate, woman dying due to complications, highest chance that a child will die before age of 5, second highest rate of death by coronary heart disease and lung disease. If that isn’t enough to want people to prompt change, perhaps we need to add more truck loads of fuel into that fire.

How about the fact that medical errors in the west account for upwards of 440,000 US deaths annually.

That is essentially about 1/6th of all the deaths that occur in the US every year.

Lest not forget, that obesity continues to increase unabated as over one-third – 38% of American adults – are obese as of 2014. This is a 3% increase over the previous year.

Hopefully those data points will help stir anyone that isn’t taking health into their own hands. There are a lot more deleterious health aspects of the medical system that we can discuss, but that will suffice for now.

You sure won’t hear the totality of all of that mentioned in the manipulated mainstream media. Obesity? Sure. But not the rest of the numbers. There should be a media firestorm. All you have instead are crickets.

The whole point of this blog, of each post, is to get everyone that’s interested in what’s really going on to take a deeper look into all of their personal compartments in order to find where they need to put more energy in order to live a better life. A healthier life.

Even if you have the time, or the money, without health, you’re a ship on the barren ocean without a rudder.

So what can one do?

There is quite a bit one can do actually. Much of this will seem simple, and a lot of it is. But some of is not.   Not many great obstacles were ever conquered without at least some notable effort. Health is no different.

For starters, having/drinking clean water that’s not laden in Fluoride is a great start. As discussed in a Breakaway Guide, Fluoride is extremely noxious component that is added to the water supply. Worse, a major study conducted by Harvard confirmed that fluoride lowers IQ. If you haven’t looked into it, look it up. In fact, its gotten so bad that many places eliminating fluoride from the water networks.

Fluoride is bad enough, but when you add a chemical cocktail of various components on top of that, things can get really dicey. Many communities have found out that their water is laden with toxic pharmaceutical drugs, heavy metals, lead, aluminum, haxavalent chromium and chlorine.

Drinking from the tap water is a big no-no. Also, don’t dare drink the water from restaurants because its not much better.   And they say the water in Mexico is bad. Time to roll your eyes people.

Another thing you can do is removing genetically modified foods from your diet. The fact that there is no labeling of GMOs should be looked at in an askance manner.  Besides contaminating organic crops, GMO crops have been fraught with controversy after controversy.

Given that the majority of Americans are not eating any real semblance of food, the only sensible option in a backwards world, is to eat organic, non-genetically modified, fresh and healthy locally sourced food. That has helped me greatly in regaining control of my health, and eliminating completely my dependence in Big Pharma.

Surely by now, most know and have heard of the benefits of exercise. No need to dabble here, as there are extensive studies on many different approaches that are possible. Only you can decide what suits you best. What works for one person might not be as efficient as it might be for another.   Just do your research.

In my case, weight training coupled with calisthenics and yoga have done wonders for my health & stress levels.

A recent notable change that aided me considerably was realizing how much prolonged sitting increases a variety of health risks. Even if you carry out daily exercises, just by sitting 8 hours a day at a job [or next to the TV], you greatly increase your risk of dying from every cause.

Instantly after that, standing more became a huge component of my life. Furthermore, using a stand-up desk, and walking more often whenever possible has helped. Anything that can get you moving is a plus.

Rebounding has helped me greatly as well as its helped keep things interesting while also helping my immune system quite considerably.

Ultimately, it all centers upon you, what’s best for you, what you choose to do, and how often you choose to do it. It’s really that simple.

When it comes to health, inaction is your nemesis. If you’re truly committed to your health, there will be no excuses, because there is always something that everyone of any age can do.   If you don’t take care of your health, nobody will.

The choice is y/ours

The Dalai Lama, when asked what surprised him most about humanity, answered:

“Man. Because he sacrifices his health in order to make money. Then he sacrifices money to recuperate his health. And then he is so anxious about the future that he does not enjoy the present; the result being that he does not live in the present or the future; he lives as if he is never going to die, and then dies having never really lived.”
